Arthur Satyan 4-days, 3 hours each day, 5 intensive Master-Classes at Nova Music Club (Sin el Fil)
April 29, 30, May 1 and 2, 2016. 4:00pm – 7:30pm (30 min break at 5:30pm)
Level: Intermediate (Day 1 & 2), Advanced (Day 3 & 4).
For all Instruments.
Day 1: (Intermediate Level)
Theory: Chords & Scales.
Scale practice, chords and scales relationship
Day 2: (Intermediate Level)
Practice time: How to practice what you’ve learned.
Applying ‘Day 1’ information to Jazz Songs (Standards).
Day 3: (Advanced Level)
Learning, practicing and re-harmonizing Jazz Standards.
Day 4: (Advanced Level)
Advanced Standards/Modern Improvisation
Talking about and going through So What, Giant Steps, Very Early, ESP, etc..
The closing concert / clinic (on how to communicate and comp, tips and tricks for bassists, drummers, pianists and soloists playing in jazz combo) will be held at Nova Club (Monday Jazz Night – Free Entrance for all master-class members) at 10:00pm.
Registration and fees:
Registration is starting today till April 28th at Nova Club.
Registration Fees for 2-day Masterclass - $50 (Two days - Day 1 & 2) for Intermediate Level or Two Days (Day 3 & 4) for Advanced Level) - $50.
All 4 days (including the concert / clinic at Nova Club) - $100.
Fees must be paid while registering to reserve your seat.
Fees for the missed days will not be returned.
• Play an instrument. Minimum of intermediate level of playing an instrument is required.
• Bring their instruments (electric guitarists and bassists with small amplifiers, saxophones, trumpets, small portable keyboards, etc… except the acoustic pianos)
• Have note sheets, pen, pencil, etc…
• Advanced level musicians must be playing jazz for some years (so they must be the guys I know, my current or ex-students).
Audio recorders are acceptable; picturing is ok, but video recorders please not!
