While Technophile – AKA Nabih Esta, the main man behind Beirut ex-duo Ronin & Nesta – lives up to his tech-loving name, his roots lie in the twisted, melodic haze of psychedelic and progressive rock bands. With Pink Floyd, Eloy & Porcupine Tree at the forefront of his collection, and with a family of drummers spurring him on, Nabih fell head over heels into the club scene in his teens, discovering Global Underground at 13, and defining DJs like Anthony Pappa, Danny Tenaglia, Lee Burridge and James Lavelle.
